How to Join

At Seven Seventeen, you're not just a customer, you're a member and an owner of your financial institution.  We have no shareholders, so our number one focus is on you.  We've been serving our members for more than 50 years, and because we are owned by them, we can't be sold.  We are safe, sound and secure.

Personal Accounts:

To benefit from our services, become a member/owner by opening an account. You may be eligible to open an account if the following apply:

  • Residence
You live, work, worship, or attend school in Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana or Portage Counties; Jackson, Plain, Lake, Nimishillen or Canton Townships in Stark County; or the cities of North Canton, Canton or Louisville in Ohio.
  • Affiliated Groups / Business Partners
You work for, or belong to, one of the companies or organizations affiliated with Seven Seventeen. If your company or organization is not affiliated, contact our Business Development department at 330-372-8156. Sign up is FREE.
  • A Relative
One of your relatives is currently a Seven Seventeen member. Eligible relatives include the following:

    Spouse
    Spouse’s Parents or Step Parents
    Parents or Step-Parents
    Grandparents
    Spouse’s Grandparents
    Children or Step-Children
    Grandchildren

    Brothers or Sisters
    Step-brothers or sisters
    Half-brothers or sisters
    Aunts
    Uncles
    Nieces
    Nephews
    Cousins
    In-laws

If you meet any of these qualifications, you may open an account now.

Remember, becoming a member of Seven Seventeen gives you ownership privileges. You may participate in the annual election of representatives to the Board of Directors, which set policy for the Credit Union. Being an owner generally gives you better investment returns, lower loan rates and lower fees compared to those offered by commercial banks.

Business Accounts

To open a business account, the business itself must qualify for membership in the following ways:

1) The business must be located in Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana or Portage Counties; Jackson, Plain, Lake, Nimishillen or Canton Townships in Stark County; or the cities of North Canton, Canton or Louisville in Ohio.

2) The business must become an Affiliated Group/Business Partner (see above).

To open a business account, visit a Seven Seventeen branch or contact the Business Development Department at 330-372-8156. Business accounts can not be opened online.
